20: 17Jesus said to her, "Do not hold on to me, because I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers (adelphos) and say to them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'"
21: 23So the rumor spread within the brothers (adelphos) that this disciple would not die. Yet Jesus did not say to him that he would not die, but, "If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you?"

10: 23So Peter invited them in and gave them lodging. The next day he got up and went with them, and some of the brothers (adelphos) from Joppa accompanied him.

15: 32Judas and Silas, who were themselves prophets, said much to encourage and strengthen the brothers (adelphos).

1 John

2: 9Whoever says, "I am in the light," while hating a brother (adelphos) or sister, is still in the darkness.
2: 10Whoever loves a brother (adelphos) or sister lives in the light, and in such a person there is no cause for stumbling.
2: 11But whoever hates his brother (adelphos) is in the darkness, walks in the darkness, and does not know the way to go, because the darkness has brought on blindness.
3: 10The children of God and the children of the devil are revealed in this way: all who do not do what is right are not from God, nor are those who do not love their brothers (adelphos) and sisters.
3: 12We must not be like Cain who was from the evil one and murdered his brother (adelphos). And why did he murder him? Because his own deeds were evil and his brother (adelphos)'s righteous.
3: 13Do not be astonished, brothers (adelphos) and sisters, that the world hates you.
3: 14We know that we have passed from death to life because we love the brothers (adelphos). Whoever does not love abides in death.
3: 15All who hate a brother (adelphos) or sister are murderers, and you know that murderers do not have eternal life abiding in them.
3: 16We know love by this, that he laid down his life for us - and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers (adelphos).
3: 17How does God's love abide in anyone who has the world's goods and sees a brother (adelphos) or sister in need and yet refuses help?
4: 20Those who say, "I love God," and hate their brothers (adelphos) or sisters, are liars; for those who do not love a brother (adelphos) or sister whom they have seen, cannot love God whom they have not seen.
4: 21The commandment we have from him is this: those who love God must love their brothers (adelphos) and sisters also.
5: 16If you see your brother (adelphos) or sister committing what is not a mortal sin, you will ask, and God will give life to such a one - to those whose sin is not mortal. There is sin that is mortal; I do not say that you should pray about that.

3 John

1: 3I was overjoyed when some of the brothers (adelphos) arrived and testified to your faithfulness to the truth, namely how you walk in the truth.
1: 5Beloved, you do faithfully whatever you do for the brothers (adelphos), even though they are strangers to you;
1: 10So if I come, I will call attention to what he is doing in spreading false charges against us. And not content with those charges, he refuses to welcome the brothers (adelphos), and even prevents those who want to do so and expels them from the church.
