Adective agathos (good) in the Gospels-Acts

(Translation from NRSV for the New Testament with a few modifications for a more literal meaning)


Matthew

5: 45so that you may be children of your Father in heaven; for he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good (agathos), and sends rain on the righteous and on the unrighteous.
7: 11If you then, who are evil, know how to give good (agathos) gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good (agathos) things to those who ask him!
7: 17In the same way, every good (agathos) tree bears nice fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit.
7: 18A good (agathos) tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear nice fruit.
