Verb anthistēmi (to withstand) in the Gospels-Acts

Matthew

5: 39But I say to you, Do not withstand (anthistēmi) an evildoer. But if anyone strikes you on the right cheek, turn the other also;

Luke

21: 15for I will give you words and a wisdom that none of your opponents will be able to withstand (anthistēmi) or contradict.

Acts

6: 10But they could not withstand (anthistēmi) the wisdom and the Spirit with which he spoke.
13: 8But the magician Elymas (for that is the translation of his name) withstood (anthistēmi) them and tried to turn the proconsul away from the faith.
