(Translation from NRSV for the New Testament with a few modifications for a more literal meaning)

Matthew

4: 4But he answered, "It is written, 'Man (anthrōpos) does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"
4: 19And he said to them, "Follow me, and I will make you fish for men (anthrōpos)."
5: 13"You are the salt of the earth; but if salt has lost its taste, how can its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything, but is thrown out and trampled under men (anthrōpos).
5: 16In the same way, let your light shine before men (anthrōpos), so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.
5: 19Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men (anthrōpos) to do the same, will be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
6: 1"Beware of practicing your piety before men (anthrōpos) in order to be seen by them; for then you have no reward from your Father in heaven.
6: 2"So whenever you give alms, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be praised by men (anthrōpos). Truly I tell you, they have received their reward.
6: 5"And whenever you pray, do not be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, so that they may be seen by men (anthrōpos). Truly I tell you, they have received their reward.
6: 14For if you forgive men (anthrōpos) their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you;
6: 15but if you do not forgive men (anthrōpos), neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
6: 16"And whenever you fast, do not look dismal, like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces so as to show men (anthrōpos) that they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward.
6: 18so that your fasting may be seen not by men (anthrōpos) but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
7: 9Is there anyone (anthrōpos) among you who, if your child asks for bread, will give a stone?
7: 12"In everything do to men (anthrōpos) as you would have them do to you; for this is the law and the prophets.
8: 9For I also am a man (anthrōpos) under authority, with soldiers under me; and I say to one, 'Go,' and he goes, and to another, 'Come,' and he comes, and to my slave, 'Do this,' and the slave does it."
8: 20And Jesus said to him, "Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of Man (anthrōpos) has nowhere to lay his head."
8: 27They were amazed, saying, "What sort of man (anthrōpos) is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him?"
9: 6But so that you may know that the Son of Man (anthrōpos) has authority on earth to forgive sins" - he then said to the paralytic - "Stand up, take your bed and go to your home."

9: 9As Jesus was walking along, he saw a man (anthrōpos) called Matthew sitting at the tax booth; and he said to him, "Follow me." And he got up and followed him.
9: 32After they had gone away, a demonic man (anthrōpos) who was mute was brought to him.
10: 17Beware of men (anthrōpos), for they will hand you over to councils and flog you in their synagogues;
10: 23When they persecute you in one town, flee to the next; for truly I tell you, you will not have gone through all the towns of Israel before the Son of Man (anthrōpos) comes.
10: 32"Everyone therefore who acknowledges me before men (anthrōpos), I also will acknowledge before my Father in heaven;
10: 33but whoever denies me before men (anthrōpos), I also will deny before my Father in heaven.
10: 35For I have come to set a man (anthrōpos) against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law;
10: 36and one's foes will be men (anthrōpos) of one's own household.
11: 8What then did you go out to see? A man (anthrōpos) dressed in soft robes? Look, those who wear soft robes are in royal palaces.
11: 19the Son of Man (anthrōpos) came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Look, a glutton man (anthrōpos) and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!' Yet wisdom is vindicated by her deeds."
12: 8For the Son of Man (anthrōpos) is lord of the sabbath."
12: 10a man (anthrōpos) was there with a withered hand, and they asked him, "Is it lawful to cure on the sabbath?" so that they might accuse him.
12: 11He said to them, "Suppose one (anthrōpos) of you has only one sheep and it falls into a pit on the sabbath; will you not lay hold of it and lift it out?
12: 12How much more valuable is a man (anthrōpos) than a sheep! So it is lawful to do good on the sabbath."
12: 13Then he said to the man (anthrōpos), "Stretch out your hand." He stretched it out, and it was restored, as sound as the other.
12: 31Therefore I tell you, men (anthrōpos) will be forgiven for every sin and blasphemy, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.
12: 32Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man (anthrōpos) will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.

13: 24He put before them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man (anthrōpos) who sowed good seed in his field;
13: 25but while everybody (anthrōpos) was asleep, an enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and then went away.
13: 28He answered, 'An enemy man (anthrōpos) has done this.' The slaves said to him, 'Then do you want us to go and gather them?'
13: 31He put before them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that a man (anthrōpos) took and sowed in his field;
13: 37He answered, "The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man (anthrōpos);
13: 41The Son of Man (anthrōpos) will send his angels, and they will collect out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all evildoers,
13: 44"The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man (anthrōpos) found and hid; then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.
13: 45"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant man (anthrōpos) in search of fine pearls;
13: 52And he said to them, "Therefore every scribe who has been trained for the kingdom of heaven is like the master man (anthrōpos) of a household who brings out of his treasure what is new and what is old."

15: 11it is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a man (anthrōpos), but it is what comes out of the mouth that defiles a man (anthrōpos)."
15: 18But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this is what defiles a man (anthrōpos).
15: 20These are what defile a man (anthrōpos), but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a man (anthrōpos)."
16: 13Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, "Who do men (anthrōpos) say that the Son of Man (anthrōpos) is?"
16: 23But he turned and said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; for you are setting your mind not on divine things but on men (anthrōpos)."
16: 26For what will profit a man (anthrōpos) if they gain the whole world but forfeit their life? Or what will a man (anthrōpos) give in return for their life?

18: 7Woe to the world because of stumbling blocks! Occasions for stumbling are bound to come, but woe to the one (anthrōpos) by whom the stumbling block comes!
18: 12What do you think? If a man (anthrōpos) has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray?
18: 23"For this reason the kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king man (anthrōpos) who wished to settle accounts with his slaves.

19: 5and said, 'For this reason a man (anthrōpos) shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'?
19: 6So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one (anthrōpos) separate."
19: 10His disciples said to him, "If such is the case of a man (anthrōpos) with his wife, it is better not to marry."
19: 12For there are eunuchs who have been so from birth, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by men (anthrōpos), and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. Let anyone accept this who can."
19: 26But Jesus looked at them and said, "For men (anthrōpos) it is impossible, but for God all things are possible."
19: 28Jesus said to them, "Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man (anthrōpos) is seated on the throne of his glory, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
20: 1"For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner man (anthrōpos) who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard.
20: 18"See, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man (anthrōpos) will be handed over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death;
20: 28just as the Son of Man (anthrōpos) came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many."
21: 25Did the baptism of John come from heaven, or was it of men (anthrōpos)?" And they argued with one another, "If we say, 'From heaven,' he will say to us, 'Why then did you not believe him?'
21: 26But if we say, 'Of men (anthrōpos),' we are afraid of the crowd; for all regard John as a prophet."
21: 28"What do you think? A man (anthrōpos) had two sons; he went to the first and said, 'Son, go and work in the vineyard today.'

22: 2"The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king man (anthrōpos) who gave a wedding banquet for his son.

22: 16So they sent their disciples to him, along with the Herodians, saying, "Teacher, we know that you are sincere, and teach the way of God in accordance with truth, and show deference to no one; for you do not regard men (anthrōpos) with partiality.
23: 4They tie up heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on the shoulders of men (anthrōpos); but they themselves are unwilling to lift a finger to move them.
23: 5They do all their deeds to be seen by men (anthrōpos); for they make their phylacteries broad and their fringes long.
23: 7and to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces, and to have men (anthrōpos) call them rabbi.
23: 13"But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you lock people out of the kingdom of heaven. For you do not go in yourselves, and when men (anthrōpos) are going in, you stop them.
23: 28So you also on the outside look righteous to men (anthrōpos), but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.
24: 27For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man (anthrōpos).
24: 30Then the sign of the Son of Man (anthrōpos) will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see 'the Son of Man (anthrōpos) coming on the clouds of heaven' with power and great glory.
24: 37For as the days of Noah were, so will be the coming of the Son of Man (anthrōpos).
24: 39and they knew nothing until the flood came and swept them all away, so too will be the coming of the Son of Man (anthrōpos).
24: 44Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man (anthrōpos) is coming at an unexpected hour.
25: 14"For it is as if a man (anthrōpos), going on a journey, summoned his slaves and entrusted his property to them;
25: 24Then the one who had received the one talent also came forward, saying, 'Master, I knew that you were a harsh man (anthrōpos), reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter seed;
25: 31"When the Son of Man (anthrōpos) comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory.
26: 2"You know that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of Man (anthrōpos) will be handed over to be crucified."
26: 24The Son of Man (anthrōpos) goes as it is written of him, but woe to that one (anthrōpos) by whom the Son of Man (anthrōpos) is betrayed! It would have been better for that one (anthrōpos) not to have been born."
26: 45Then he came to the disciples and said to them, "Are you still sleeping and taking your rest? See, the hour is at hand, and the Son of Man (anthrōpos) is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
26: 64Jesus said to him, "You have said so. But I tell you, From now on you will see the Son of Man (anthrōpos) seated at the right hand of Power and coming on the clouds of heaven."
26: 72Again he denied it with an oath, "I do not know the man (anthrōpos)."
26: 74Then he began to curse, and he swore an oath, "I do not know the man (anthrōpos)!" At that moment the cock crowed.

Mark

1: 17And Jesus said to them, "Follow me and I will make you fish for men (anthrōpos)."
1: 23Just then there was in their synagogue a man (anthrōpos) with an unclean spirit,
2: 10But so that you may know that the Son of Man (anthrōpos) has authority on earth to forgive sins" - he said to the paralytic -
2: 27Then he said to them, "The sabbath was made for man (anthrōpos), and not man (anthrōpos) for the sabbath;
2: 28so the Son of Man (anthrōpos) is lord even of the sabbath."
3: 1Again he entered the synagogue, and a man (anthrōpos) was there who had a withered hand.
3: 3And he said to the man (anthrōpos) who had the withered hand, "Come forward."
3: 5He looked around at them with anger; he was grieved at their hardness of heart and said to the man (anthrōpos), "Stretch out your hand." He stretched it out, and his hand was restored.
3: 28"Truly I tell you, men (anthrōpos) will be forgiven for their sins and whatever blasphemies they utter;
4: 26He also said, "The kingdom of God is as if a man (anthrōpos) would scatter seed on the ground,
5: 2And when he had stepped out of the boat, immediately a man (anthrōpos) out of the tombs with an unclean spirit met him.
5: 8For he had said to him, "Come out of the man (anthrōpos), you unclean spirit!"
7: 7in vain do they worship me, teaching men (anthrōpos)'s precepts as doctrines.'
7: 8You abandon the commandment of God and hold to men (anthrōpos)'s tradition."
7: 11But you say that if a man (anthrōpos) tells father or mother, 'Whatever support you might have had from me is Corban' (that is, an offering to God) -
7: 15there is nothing outside a man (anthrōpos) that by going in can defile, but the things that come out of a man (anthrōpos) are what defile a man (anthrōpos)."
7: 18He said to them, "Then do you also fail to understand? Do you not see that whatever goes into a man (anthrōpos) from outside cannot defile,
7: 20And he said, "It is what comes out of a man (anthrōpos) that defiles a man (anthrōpos).
7: 21For it is from within, from the men (anthrōpos)'s heart, that evil intentions come: fornication, theft, murder,
7: 23All these evil things come from within, and they defile a man (anthrōpos)."
8: 24And he looked up and said, "I can see men (anthrōpos), but they look like trees, walking."
8: 27Jesus went on with his disciples to the villages of Caesarea Philippi; and on the way he asked his disciples, "Who do men (anthrōpos) say that I am?"
8: 31Then he began to teach them that the Son of Man (anthrōpos) must undergo great suffering, and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.
8: 33But turning and looking at his disciples, he rebuked Peter and said, "Get behind me, Satan! For you are setting your mind not on divine things but on men (anthrōpos)'s things."
8: 36For what will it profit to a man (anthrōpos) to gain the whole world and forfeit their life?
8: 37Indeed, what can a man (anthrōpos) give in return for his life?
8: 38Those who are ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of them the Son of Man (anthrōpos) will also be ashamed when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels."
9: 9As they were coming down the mountain, he ordered them to tell no one about what they had seen, until after the Son of Man (anthrōpos) had risen from the dead.
9: 12He said to them, "Elijah is indeed coming first to restore all things. How then is it written about the Son of Man (anthrōpos), that he is to go through many sufferings and be treated with contempt?
9: 31for he was teaching his disciples, saying to them, "The Son of Man (anthrōpos) is to be betrayed into the hands of men (anthrōpos), and they will kill him, and three days after being killed, he will rise again."
10: 7'For this reason a man (anthrōpos) shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife,
10: 9Therefore what God has joined together, let no man (anthrōpos) separate."
10: 27Jesus looked at them and said, "For men (anthrōpos) it is impossible, but not for God; for God all things are possible."
10: 33saying, "See, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man (anthrōpos) will be handed over to the chief priests and the scribes, and they will condemn him to death; then they will hand him over to the Gentiles;
10: 45For the Son of Man (anthrōpos) came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many."
11: 2and said to them, "Go into the village ahead of you, and immediately as you enter it, you will find tied there a colt that no men (anthrōpos) has ever ridden; untie it and bring it.
11: 30Did the baptism of John come from heaven, or was it of men (anthrōpos)? Answer me."
11: 32But shall we say, 'Of men (anthrōpos)'?" - they were afraid of the crowd, for all regarded John as truly a prophet.
12: 1Then he began to speak to them in parables. "A man (anthrōpos) planted a vineyard, put a fence around it, dug a pit for the wine press, and built a watchtower; then he leased it to tenants and went to another country.
12: 14And they came and said to him, "Teacher, we know that you are sincere, and show deference to no one; for you do not regard men (anthrōpos) with partiality, but teach the way of God in accordance with truth. Is it lawful to pay taxes to the emperor, or not?
13: 26Then they will see 'the Son of Man (anthrōpos) coming in clouds' with great power and glory.
13: 34It is like a man (anthrōpos) going on a journey, when he leaves home and puts his slaves in charge, each with his work, and commands the doorkeeper to be on the watch.
14: 13So he sent two of his disciples, saying to them, "Go into the city, and a man (anthrōpos) carrying a jar of water will meet you; follow him,
14: 21For the Son of Man (anthrōpos) goes as it is written of him, but woe to that man (anthrōpos) by whom the Son of Man (anthrōpos) is betrayed! It would have been better for that man (anthrōpos) not to have been born."
14: 41He came a third time and said to them, "Are you still sleeping and taking your rest? Enough! The hour has come; the Son of Man (anthrōpos) is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
14: 62Jesus said, "I am; and 'you will see the Son of Man (anthrōpos) seated at the right hand of the Power,' and 'coming with the clouds of heaven.'"
14: 71But he began to curse, and he swore an oath, "I do not know this man (anthrōpos) you are talking about."
15: 39Now when the centurion, who stood facing him, saw that in this way he breathed his last, he said, "Truly this man (anthrōpos) was God's Son!"

Luke

1: 25"This is what the Lord has done for me when he looked favorably on me and took away the disgrace I have endured among my men (anthrōpos)."
2: 14"Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace among men (anthrōpos) whom he favors!"
2: 25Now there was a man (anthrōpos) in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon; this man (anthrōpos) was righteous and devout, looking forward to the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit rested on him.
2: 52And Jesus increased in wisdom and in years, and in divine and men (anthrōpos)'s favor.
4: 4Jesus answered him, "It is written, 'A man (anthrōpos) does not live by bread alone.'"
4: 33In the synagogue there was a man (anthrōpos) who had the spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried out with a loud voice,
5: 10and so also were James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. Then Jesus said to Simon, "Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching men (anthrōpos)."
5: 18Just then some men (anthrōpos) came, carrying a paralyzed man (anthrōpos) on a bed. They were trying to bring him in and lay him before Jesus;
5: 20When he saw their faith, he said, "Man (anthrōpos), your sins are forgiven you."
5: 24But so that you may know that the Son of Man (anthrōpos) has authority on earth to forgive sins" - he said to the one who was paralyzed - "I say to you, stand up and take your bed and go to your home."
6: 5Then he said to them, "The Son of Man (anthrōpos) is lord of the sabbath."
6: 6On another sabbath he entered the synagogue and taught, and there was a man (anthrōpos) there whose right hand was withered.
6: 22"Blessed are you when men (anthrōpos) hate you, and when they exclude you, revile you, and defame you on account of the Son of Man (anthrōpos).
6: 26"Woe to you when all men (anthrōpos) speak well of you, for that is what their ancestors did to the false prophets.
6: 31And according to what you want men (anthrōpos) do for you, do in the same way to others.
6: 45The good man (anthrōpos) out of the good treasure of the heart produces good, and the evil person out of evil treasure produces evil; for it is out of the abundance of the heart that the mouth speaks.
6: 48That one is like a man (anthrōpos) building a house, who dug deeply and laid the foundation on rock; when a flood arose, the river burst against that house but could not shake it, because it had been well built.
6: 49But the one who hears and does not act is like a man (anthrōpos) who built a house on the ground without a foundation. When the river burst against it, immediately it fell, and great was the ruin of that house."
7: 8For I also am a man (anthrōpos) set under authority, with soldiers under me; and I say to one, 'Go,' and he goes, and to another, 'Come,' and he comes, and to my slave, 'Do this,' and the slave does it."
7: 25What then did you go out to see? A man (anthrōpos) dressed in soft robes? Look, those who put on fine clothing and live in luxury are in royal palaces.
7: 31"To what then will I compare the men (anthrōpos) of this generation, and what are they like?
7: 34the Son of Man (anthrōpos) has come eating and drinking, and you say, 'Look, a glutton man (anthrōpos) and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!'
8: 29for Jesus had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man (anthrōpos). (For many times it had seized him; he was kept under guard and bound with chains and shackles, but he would break the bonds and be driven by the demon into the wilds.)
8: 33Then the demons came out of the man (anthrōpos) and entered the swine, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and was drowned.
8: 35Then they came out to see what had happened, and when they came to Jesus, they found the man (anthrōpos) from whom the demons had gone sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed and in his right mind. And they were afraid.
9: 22saying, "The Son of Man (anthrōpos) must undergo great suffering, and be rejected by the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised."
9: 25What does it profit to men (anthrōpos) if they gain the whole world, but lose or forfeit themselves?
9: 26Those who are ashamed of me and of my words, of them the Son of Man (anthrōpos) will be ashamed when he comes in his glory and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.
9: 44"Let these words sink into your ears: The Son of Man (anthrōpos) is going to be betrayed into human hands."
9: 58And Jesus said to him, "Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of Man (anthrōpos) has nowhere to lay his head."
10: 30Jesus replied, "A man (anthrōpos) was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell into the hands of robbers, who stripped him, beat him, and went away, leaving him half dead.
11: 24"When the unclean spirit has gone out of a man (anthrōpos), it wanders through waterless regions looking for a resting place, but not finding any, it says, 'I will return to my house from which I came.'
11: 26Then it goes and brings seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they enter and live there; and the last state of that man (anthrōpos) is worse than the first."
11: 30For just as Jonah became a sign to the people of Nineveh, so the Son of Man (anthrōpos) will be to this generation.
11: 44Woe to you! For you are like unmarked graves, and men (anthrōpos) walk over them without realizing it."
11: 46And he said, "Woe also to you lawyers! For you load men (anthrōpos) with burdens hard to bear, and you yourselves do not lift a finger to ease them.
12: 8"And I tell you, everyone who acknowledges me before men (anthrōpos), the Son of Man (anthrōpos) also will acknowledge before the angels of God;
12: 9but whoever denies me before men (anthrōpos) will be denied before the angels of God.
12: 10And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man (anthrōpos) will be forgiven; but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.
12: 14But he said to him, "Man (anthrōpos), who set me to be a judge or arbitrator over you?"
12: 16Then he told them a parable: "The land of a rich man (anthrōpos) produced abundantly.
12: 36be like men (anthrōpos) who are waiting for their master to return from the wedding banquet, so that they may open the door for him as soon as he comes and knocks.
12: 40You also must be ready, for the Son of Man (anthrōpos) is coming at an unexpected hour."
13: 4Or those eighteen who were killed when the tower of Siloam fell on them - do you think that they were worse offenders than all the men (anthrōpos) living in Jerusalem?
13: 19It is like a mustard seed that a man (anthrōpos) took and sowed in the garden; it grew and became a tree, and the birds of the air made nests in its branches."
14: 2Just then, in front of him, there was a man (anthrōpos) who had edema (dropsy).
14: 16Then Jesus said to him, "A man (anthrōpos) gave a great dinner and invited many.

16: 1Then Jesus said to the disciples, "There was a rich man (anthrōpos) who had a manager, and charges were brought to him that he was squandering his property.
16: 15So he said to them, "You are those who justify yourselves in the sight of men (anthrōpos); but God knows your hearts; for what is prized by men (anthrōpos) is an abomination in the sight of God.
16: 19"There was a rich man (anthrōpos) who was dressed in purple and fine linen and who feasted sumptuously every day.
17: 22Then he said to the disciples, "The days are coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man (anthrōpos), and you will not see it.
17: 24For as the lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one side to the other, so will the Son of Man (anthrōpos) be in his day.
17: 26Just as it was in the days of Noah, so too it will be in the days of the Son of Man (anthrōpos).
17: 30- it will be like that on the day that the Son of Man (anthrōpos) is revealed.
18: 2He said, "In a certain city there was a judge who neither feared God nor had respect for men (anthrōpos).
18: 4For a while he refused; but later he said to himself, 'Though I have no fear of God and no respect for any man (anthrōpos),
18: 8I tell you, he will quickly grant justice to them. And yet, when the Son of Man (anthrōpos) comes, will he find faith on earth?"
18: 10"Two men (anthrōpos) went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.
18: 11The Pharisee, standing by himself, was praying thus, 'God, I thank you that I am not like other men (anthrōpos): thieves, rogues, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.
18: 27He replied, "What is impossible for men (anthrōpos) is possible for God."
18: 31Then he took the twelve aside and said to them, "See, we are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written about the Son of Man (anthrōpos) by the prophets will be accomplished.
19: 10For the Son of Man (anthrōpos) came to seek out and to save the lost."
19: 12So he said, "A man (anthrōpos) of noble origin went to a distant country to get royal power for himself and then return.
19: 21for I was afraid of you, because you are a harsh man (anthrōpos); you take what you did not deposit, and reap what you did not sow.'
19: 22He said to him, 'I will judge you by your own words, you wicked slave! You knew, did you, that I was a harsh man (anthrōpos), taking what I did not deposit and reaping what I did not sow?
19: 30saying, "Go into the village ahead of you, and as you enter it you will find tied there a colt that no man (anthrōpos) has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here.
20: 4Did the baptism of John come from heaven, or was it of men (anthrōpos)?"
20: 6But if we say, 'Of men (anthrōpos),' all people will stone us; for they are convinced that John was a prophet."
20: 9He began to tell the people this parable: "A man (anthrōpos) planted a vineyard, and leased it to tenants, and went to another country for a long time.
21: 26Men (anthrōpos) will faint from fear and foreboding of what is coming upon the world, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
21: 27Then they will see 'the Son of Man (anthrōpos) coming in a cloud' with power and great glory.
21: 36Be alert at all times, praying that you may have the strength to escape all these things that will take place, and to stand before the Son of Man (anthrōpos)."
22: 10"Listen," he said to them, "when you have entered the city, a man (anthrōpos) carrying a jar of water will meet you; follow him into the house he enters
22: 22For the Son of Man (anthrōpos) is going as it has been determined, but woe to the man (anthrōpos) by whom he is betrayed!"
22: 48but Jesus said to him, "Judas, is it with a kiss that you are betraying the Son of Man (anthrōpos)?"
22: 58A little later someone else, on seeing him, said, "You also are one of them." But Peter said, "Man (anthrōpos), I am not!"
22: 60But Peter said, "Man (anthrōpos), I do not know what you are talking about!" At that moment, while he was still speaking, the cock crowed.
22: 69But from now on the Son of Man (anthrōpos) will be seated at the right hand of the power of God."
23: 4Then Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowds, "I find no basis for an accusation against this man (anthrōpos)."
23: 6When Pilate heard this, he asked whether the man (anthrōpos) was a Galilean.
23: 14and said to them, "You brought me this man (anthrōpos) as one who was perverting the people; and here I have examined him in your presence and have not found this man (anthrōpos) guilty of any of your charges against him.
23: 47When the centurion saw what had taken place, he praised God and said, "Certainly this man (anthrōpos) was innocent."
24: 7that the Son of Man (anthrōpos) must be handed over to sinner men (anthrōpos), and be crucified, and on the third day rise again."

John

1: 4in him was life, and the life was the light of all men (anthrōpos).
1: 6There was a man (anthrōpos) sent from God, whose name was John.
1: 9The true light, which enlightens all men (anthrōpos), was coming into the world.
1: 51And he said to him, "Very truly, I tell you, you will see heaven opened and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man (anthrōpos)."
2: 10and said to him, "Any man (anthrōpos) serves the good wine first, and then the inferior wine after the guests have become drunk. But you have kept the good wine until now."
2: 25and needed no one to testify about the man (anthrōpos); for he himself knew what was in the man (anthrōpos).
3: 1Now there was a man (anthrōpos) from the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a leader of the Jews.
3: 4Nicodemus said to him, "How can a man (anthrōpos) be born after having grown old? Can one enter a second time into the mother's womb and be born?"
3: 13No one has ascended into heaven except the one who descended from heaven, the Son of Man (anthrōpos).
3: 14And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man (anthrōpos) be lifted up,
3: 19And this is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men (anthrōpos) loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil.
3: 27John answered, "No man (anthrōpos) can receive anything except what has been given from heaven.
4: 28Then the woman left her water jar and went back to the city. She said to the men (anthrōpos),
4: 29"Come and see a man (anthrōpos) who told me everything I have ever done! He cannot be the Messiah, can he?"
4: 50Jesus said to him, "Go; your son will live." The man (anthrōpos) believed the word that Jesus spoke to him and started on his way.
5: 5One man (anthrōpos) was there who had been ill for thirty-eight years.
5: 7The sick man (anthrōpos) answered him, "Sir, I have no one to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; and while I am making my way, someone else steps down ahead of me."
5: 9At once the man (anthrōpos) was made well, and he took up his mat and began to walk. Now that day was a sabbath.
5: 12They asked him, "Who is the man (anthrōpos) who said to you, 'Take it up and walk'?"
5: 15The man (anthrōpos) went away and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well.
5: 27and he has given him authority to execute judgment, because he is the Son of Man (anthrōpos).
5: 34Not that I accept such testimony from a man (anthrōpos), but I say these things so that you may be saved.
5: 41I do not accept glory from men (anthrōpos).
6: 10Jesus said, "Make the men (anthrōpos) sit down." Now there was a great deal of grass in the place; so they sat down, about five thousand in all.
6: 14When the men (anthrōpos) saw the sign that he had done, they began to say, "This is indeed the prophet who is to come into the world."
6: 27Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures for eternal life, which the Son of Man (anthrōpos) will give you. For it is on him that God the Father has set his seal."
6: 53So Jesus said to them, "Very truly, I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man (anthrōpos) and drink his blood, you have no life in you.
6: 62Then what if you were to see the Son of Man (anthrōpos) ascending to where he was before?
7: 22Moses gave you circumcision (it is, of course, not from Moses, but from the patriarchs), and you circumcise a man (anthrōpos) on the sabbath.
7: 23If a man (anthrōpos) receives circumcision on the sabbath in order that the law of Moses may not be broken, are you angry with me because I healed a man (anthrōpos)'s whole body on the sabbath?
7: 46The police answered, "Never has a man (anthrōpos) spoken like this!"
7: 51"Our law does not judge men (anthrōpos) without first giving them a hearing to find out what they are doing, does it?"
8: 17In your law it is written that the testimony of two men (anthrōpos) is valid.
8: 28So Jesus said, "When you have lifted up the Son of Man (anthrōpos), then you will realize that I am he, and that I do nothing on my own, but I speak these things as the Father instructed me.
8: 40but now you are trying to kill me, a man (anthrōpos) who has told you the truth that I heard from God. This is not what Abraham did.
9: 1As he walked along, he saw a man (anthrōpos) blind from birth.
9: 11He answered, "The man (anthrōpos) called Jesus made mud, spread it on my eyes, and said to me, 'Go to Siloam and wash.' Then I went and washed and received my sight."
9: 16Some of the Pharisees said, "This man (anthrōpos) is not from God, for he does not observe the sabbath." But others said, "How can a man (anthrōpos) who is a sinner perform such signs?" And they were divided.
9: 24So for the second time they called the man (anthrōpos) who had been blind, and they said to him, "Give glory to God! We know that this man (anthrōpos) is a sinner."
9: 30The man (anthrōpos) answered, "Here is an astonishing thing! You do not know where he comes from, and yet he opened my eyes.
9: 35Jesus heard that they had driven him out, and when he found him, he said, "Do you believe in the Son of Man (anthrōpos)?"
10: 33The Jews answered, "It is not for a good work that we are going to stone you, but for blasphemy, because you, though only a man (anthrōpos), are making yourself God."
11: 47So the chief priests and the Pharisees called a meeting of the council, and said, "What are we to do? This man (anthrōpos) is performing many signs.
11: 50You do not understand that it is better for you to have one man (anthrōpos) die for the people than to have the whole nation destroyed."
12: 23Jesus answered them, "The hour has come for the Son of Man (anthrōpos) to be glorified.
12: 34The crowd answered him, "We have heard from the law that the Messiah remains forever. How can you say that the Son of Man (anthrōpos) must be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man (anthrōpos)?"
12: 43for they loved the glory of men (anthrōpos) more than the glory that comes from God.
13: 31When he had gone out, Jesus said, "Now the Son of Man (anthrōpos) has been glorified, and God has been glorified in him.
16: 21When a woman is in labor, she has pain, because her hour has come. But when her child is born, she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy of having brought a man (anthrōpos) being into the world.
17: 6"I have made your name known to those men (anthrōpos) whom you gave me from the world. They were yours, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word.
18: 14Caiaphas was the one who had advised the Jews that it was better to have one man (anthrōpos) die for the people.
18: 17The woman said to Peter, "You are not also one of this man (anthrōpos)'s disciples, are you?" He said, "I am not."
18: 29So Pilate went out to them and said, "What accusation do you bring against this man (anthrōpos)?"
19: 5So Jesus came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. Pilate said to them, "Here is the man (anthrōpos)!"

15: 17so that all other men (anthrōpos) may seek the Lord - even all the Gentiles over whom my name has been called. Thus says the Lord, who has been making these things
