Verb apōtheō (to push away) in the Gospels-Acts

Acts

7: 27But the man who was wronging his neighbor pushed away (apōtheō) Moses, saying, 'Who made you a ruler and a judge over us?
7: 39Our ancestors were unwilling to obey him; instead, they pushed him away (apōtheō), and in their hearts they turned back to Egypt,
13: 46Then both Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, saying, "It was necessary that the word of God should be spoken first to you. Since you pushed it away (apōtheō) and judge yourselves to be unworthy of eternal life, we are now turning to the Gentiles.
