Noun baptistēs (baptist) in the Gospels-Acts

(Translation from NRSV)

Matthew

3: 1In those days John the Baptist (baptistēs) appeared in the wilderness of Judea, proclaiming,
11: 11Truly I tell you, among those born of women no one has arisen greater than John the Baptist (baptistēs); yet the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
11: 12From the days of John the Baptist (baptistēs) until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force.
14: 2and he said to his servants, "This is John the Baptist (baptistēs); he has been raised from the dead, and for this reason these powers are at work in him."
14: 8Prompted by her mother, she said, "Give me the head of John the Baptist (baptistēs) here on a platter."
16: 14And they said, "Some say John the Baptist (baptistēs), but others Elijah, and still others Jeremiah or one of the prophets."
17: 13Then the disciples understood that he was speaking to them about John the Baptist (baptistēs).

Mark

6: 25Immediately she rushed back to the king and requested, "I want you to give me at once the head of John the Baptist (baptistēs) on a platter."
8: 28And they answered him, "John the Baptist (baptistēs); and others, Elijah; and still others, one of the prophets."

Luke

7: 20When the men had come to him, they said, "John the Baptist (baptistēs) has sent us to you to ask, 'Are you the one who is to come, or are we to wait for another?'"
7: 33For John the Baptist (baptistēs) has come eating no bread and drinking no wine, and you say, 'He has a demon';
9: 19They answered, "John the Baptist (baptistēs); but others, Elijah; and still others, that one of the ancient prophets has arisen."
