| 16: 24 | He called out, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip (baptō) the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am in agony in these flames.' |

| 13: 26 | Jesus answered, "It is the one to whom I give this piece of bread when I have dipped (baptō) it in the dish." So when he had dipped (baptō) the piece of bread, he gave it to Judas son of Simon Iscariot.
