Noun bēma (bench, tribunal) in the Gospels-Acts

Matthew

27: 19While he was sitting on the tribunal (bēma), his wife sent word to him, "Have nothing to do with that innocent man, for today I have suffered a great deal because of a dream about him."

John

19: 13When Pilate heard these words, he brought Jesus outside and sat on the tribunal (bēma) at a place called The Stone Pavement, or in Hebrew Gabbatha.

Acts

7: 5He did not give him any of it as a heritage, not even a bench (bēma) for his foot, but promised to give it to him as his possession and to his descendants after him, even though he had no child.
12: 21On an appointed day Herod put on his royal robes, and sit down on the bench (bēma), and delivered a public address to them.
