Luke

1: 13But the angel said to him, "Do not be afraid, Zechariah, for your prayer (deēsis) has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you will name him John.
2: 37then as a widow to the age of eighty-four. She never left the temple but worshiped there with fasting and prayer (deēsis) night and day.
5: 33Then they said to him, "John's disciples, like the disciples of the Pharisees, frequently fast and make prayers (deēsis), but your disciples eat and drink."
