Matthew

1: 22All this took place to fulfill what had been spoken by the Lord through (dia) the prophet:
2: 5They told him, "In Bethlehem of Judea; for so it has been written by (dia) the prophet:
2: 12And having been warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they left for their own country by (dia) another road.
2: 15and remained there until the death of Herod. This was to fulfill what had been spoken by the Lord through (dia) the prophet, "Out of Egypt I have called my son."
2: 17Then was fulfilled what had been spoken through (dia) the prophet Jeremiah:
2: 23There he made his home in a town called Nazareth, so that what had been spoken through (dia) the prophets might be fulfilled, "He will be called a Nazorean."
3: 3This is the one spoken by (dia) prophet Isaiah spoke when he said, "The voice of one crying out in the wilderness: 'Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.'"
4: 4But he answered, "It is written, 'One does not live from bread alone, but from every word that comes through (dia) the mouth of God.'"
4: 14so that what had been spoken through (dia) the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled:
6: 25"Because of (dia) this I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?
7: 13"Enter through (dia) the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the road is easy that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through (dia) it.
8: 17This was to fulfill what had been spoken through (dia) the prophet Isaiah, "He took our infirmities and bore our diseases."
8: 28When he came to the other side, to the country of the Gadarenes, two demoniacs coming out of the tombs met him. They were so fierce that no one could pass through (dia) that way.
9: 11When the Pharisees saw this, they said to his disciples, "Because of (dia) what does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?"
9: 14Then the disciples of John came to him, saying, "Because of (dia) what do we and the Pharisees fast often, but your disciples do not fast?"
10: 22and you will be hated by all because of (dia) my name. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.
11: 2When John heard in prison what the Messiah was doing, he sent word by (dia) his disciples
12: 1At that time Jesus went through (dia) the grainfields on the sabbath; his disciples were hungry, and they began to pluck heads of grain and to eat.

12: 27If I cast out demons on behalf of Beelzebul, on behalf of whom do your own exorcists cast them out? Because of (dia) this they will be your judges.
12: 31Because of (dia) this I tell you, people will be forgiven for every sin and blasphemy, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.
12: 43"When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it wanders through (dia) waterless regions looking for a resting place, but it finds none.
13: 5Other seeds fell on rocky ground, where they did not have much soil, and they sprang up quickly, because of (dia) not having depth of soil.
13: 6But when the sun rose, they were scorched; and because of (dia) not having root, they withered away.
13: 10Then the disciples came and asked him, " Because of (dia) what do you speak to them in parables?"
13: 13Because of (dia) this I speak to them in parables is that 'seeing they do not perceive, and hearing they do not listen, nor do they understand.'
13: 21yet such a person has no root, but endures only for a while, and when trouble or persecution arises because of (dia) the word, that person immediately falls away.
13: 35This was to fulfill what had been spoken through (dia) the prophet: "I will open my mouth to speak in parables; I will proclaim what has been hidden from the foundation of the world."
13: 52And he said to them, " Because of (dia) this every scribe who has been trained for the kingdom of heaven is like the master of a household who brings out of his treasure what is new and what is old."
13: 58And he did not do many deeds of power there, because of (dia) their unbelief.
14: 2and he said to his servants, "This is John the Baptist; he has been raised from the dead, and because of (dia) this these powers are at work in him."
14: 3For Herod had arrested John, bound him, and put him in prison because of (dia) Herodias, his brother Philip's wife,
14: 9The king was grieved, yet because of (dia) his oaths and for the guests, he commanded it to be given;
15: 2"Because of (dia) what do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands before they eat."
15: 3He answered them, "And because of (dia) what do you break the commandment of God because of (dia) your tradition?
15: 6So, because of (dia) your tradition, you make void the word of God.
17: 19Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, " Because of (dia) what could we not cast it out?"
17: 20He said to them, "Because of (dia) your little faith. For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you."
18: 7Woe to the world with respect to stumbling blocks! Occasions for stumbling are bound to come, but woe to the one by (dia) whom the stumbling block comes!
18: 10"Take care that you do not despise one of these little ones; for, I tell you, in heaven their angels during (dia) all [the time] see the face of my Father in heaven.
18: 23" Because of (dia) this the kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who wished to settle accounts with his slaves.
19: 12For there are eunuchs who have been so from birth, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by others, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs because of (dia) the kingdom of heaven. Let anyone accept this who can."
19: 24Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through (dia) the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God."
21: 4This took place to fulfill what had been spoken through (dia) the prophet, saying,
21: 25Did the baptism of John come from heaven, or was it of human origin?" And they argued with one another, "If we say, 'From heaven,' he will say to us, Because of (dia) what then did you not believe him?'
21: 43Because of (dia) this I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people that produces the fruits of the kingdom.
23: 34Because of (dia) this I send you prophets, sages, and scribes, some of whom you will kill and crucify, and some you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town,
24: 9"Then they will hand you over to be tortured and will put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of (dia) my name.
24: 12And because of (dia) the increase of lawlessness, the love of many will grow cold.
24: 15"So when you see the desolating sacrilege standing in the holy place, as was spoken of by (dia) the prophet Daniel (let the reader understand),
24: 22And if those days had not been cut short, no one would be saved; but because of (dia) the elect those days will be cut short.
24: 44Because of (dia) this you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an unexpected hour.
26: 24The Son of Man goes as it is written of him, but woe to that one by (dia) whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been better for that one not to have been born."
26: 61and said, "This fellow said, 'I am able to destroy the temple of God and to build it in during (dia) three days.'"
27: 9Then was fulfilled what had been spoken through (dia) the prophet Jeremiah, "And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of the one on whom a price had been set, on whom some of the people of Israel had set a price,
27: 18For he realized that it was because of (dia) jealousy that they had handed him over.
27: 19While he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent word to him, "Have nothing to do with that innocent man, for today I have suffered a great deal because of (dia) a dream about him."

2: 1When he returned to Capernaum during (dia) some days [after], it was reported that he was at home.
2: 4And when they could not bring him to Jesus because of (dia) the crowd, they removed the roof above him; and after having dug a hole, they let down the mat on which the paralytic lay.
2: 18Now John's disciples and the Pharisees were fasting; and people came and said to him, " Because of (dia) what do John's disciples and the disciples of the Pharisees fast, but your disciples do not fast?"
2: 23One sabbath he was going through (dia) the grainfields; and as they made their way his disciples began to pluck heads of grain.

7: 29Then he said to her, "Because of (dia) this word, you may go - the demon has left your daughter."

12: 24Jesus said to them, "Is not because of (dia) this you are wrong, that you know neither the scriptures nor the power of God?
13: 13and you will be hated from all because of (dia) my name. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

14: 58"We heard him say, 'I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and during (dia) three days I will build another, not made with hands.'"

16: 8So they went out and fled from the tomb, for terror and amazement had seized them; and they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid. Luke

1: 70as he spoke through (dia) the mouth of his holy prophets from of old,
1: 78By (dia) the tender mercy of our God, the dawn from on high will break upon us,
2: 4Joseph also went from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to the city of David called Bethlehem, because of (dia) from the house and family of David.
4: 30But he passed through (dia) the midst of them and went on his way.
5: 5Simon answered, "Master, we have worked during (dia) all night long but have caught nothing. Yet if you say so, I will let down the nets."

24: 38He said to them, " Because of (dia) what are you frightened, and why do doubts arise in your hearts?

John

1: 3All things came into being through (dia) him, and without him not one thing came into being. What has come into being

19: 11Jesus answered him, "You would have no power over me unless it had been given you from above; because of (dia) this the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin."
19: 23When the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they took his clothes and divided them into four parts, one for each soldier. They also took his tunic; now the tunic was seamless, woven in one piece through (dia) all.
19: 38After these things, Joseph of Arimathea, who was a disciple of Jesus, though a secret one because of (dia) his fear of the Jews, asked Pilate to let him take away the body of Jesus. Pilate gave him permission; so he came and removed his body.

Acts

1: 2until the day when he was taken up to heaven, after giving instructions through (dia) the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen.

11: 28One of them named Agabus stood up and predicted by (dia) the Spirit that there would be a severe famine over all the world; and this took place during the reign of Claudius.
11: 30this they did, sending it to the elders by (dia) Barnabas and Saul.
12: 9Peter went out and followed him; he did not realize that what was happening through (dia) the angel's help was real; he thought he was seeing a vision.
12: 20Now Herod was angry with the people of Tyre and Sidon. So they came to him in a body; and after winning over Blastus, the king's chamberlain, they asked for a reconciliation, because of (dia) their country depending on the king's country for food.
13: 38Let it be known to you therefore, my brothers, that through (dia) this man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you;
13: 49Thus the word of the Lord spread through (dia) the whole region.
14: 3So they remained for a long time, speaking boldly for the Lord, who testified to the word of his grace by granting signs and wonders to be done through (dia) them.
14: 22There they strengthened the souls of the disciples and encouraged them to continue in the faith, saying, "It is through (dia) many persecutions that we must enter the kingdom of God."
15: 7After there had been much debate, Peter stood up and said to them, "My brothers, you know that in the early days God made a choice among you, that I should be the one through (dia) whom the Gentiles would hear the message of the good news and become believers.
15: 11On the contrary, we believe that we will be saved through (dia) the grace of the Lord Jesus, just as they will."
15: 12The whole assembly kept silence, and listened to Barnabas and Paul as they told of all the signs and wonders that God had done through (dia) them among the Gentiles.
15: 23Having been written by (dia) their hands: "The brothers, both the apostles and the elders, to the believers of Gentile origin in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia, greetings.
15: 27We have therefore sent Judas and Silas, who themselves will tell you the same things by (dia) word of mouth.
15: 32Judas and Silas, who were themselves prophets, exhorted the brothers and strengthened them through (dia) a long speech.
16: 3Paul wanted Timothy to accompany him; and he took him and had him circumcised because of (dia) the Jews who were in those places, for they all knew that his father was a Greek.
16: 9During (dia) the night Paul had a vision: there stood a man of Macedonia pleading with him and saying, "Come over to Macedonia and help us."
17: 10During (dia) that very night the believers sent Paul and Silas off to Beroea; and when they arrived, they went to the Jewish synagogue.
18: 2There he found a Jew named Aquila, a native of Pontus, who had recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because of
: (dia)Claudius having ordered all Jews to leave Rome. Paul went to see them,
18: 3and, because of (dia) being of the same trade, he stayed with them, and they worked together - by trade they were tentmakers.
18: 9One night the Lord said to Paul through (dia) a vision, "Do not be afraid, but speak and do not be silent;
18: 27And when he wished to cross over to Achaia, the believers encouraged him and wrote to the disciples to welcome him. On his arrival he greatly helped those who through (dia) grace had become believers,
18: 28for he powerfully refuted the Jews in public, showing by (dia) the scriptures that the Messiah is Jesus.
19: 11God did extraordinary miracles through (dia) Paul,
19: 26You also see and hear that not only in Ephesus but in almost the whole of Asia this Paul has persuaded and drawn away a considerable number of people by saying that gods made through (dia) hands are not gods.
20: 3where he stayed for three months. He was about to set sail for Syria when a plot was made against him by the Jews, and so he decided to return through (dia) Macedonia.
20: 28Keep watch over yourselves and over all the flock, of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God that he obtained through (dia) the blood of his own Son.
21: 4We looked up the disciples and stayed there for seven days. Through (dia) the Spirit they told Paul not to go on to Jerusalem.
21: 19After greeting them, he related one by one the things that God had done among the Gentiles through (dia) his ministry.
21: 34Some in the crowd shouted one thing, some another; and as he could not learn the facts because of (dia) the uproar, he ordered him to be brought into the barracks.
21: 35When Paul came to the steps, the violence of the mob was so great that he had to be carried by (dia) the soldiers.
22: 24the tribune directed that he was to be brought into the barracks, and ordered him to be examined by (dia) flogging, to find out the reason for this outcry against him.
23: 28Since I wanted to know because of (dia) which charge they accused him, I had him brought to their council.
23: 31So the soldiers, according to their instructions, took Paul and brought him during (dia) the night to Antipatris.
24: 2When Paul had been summoned, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying: "Your Excellency, because of (dia) you we have long enjoyed peace, and reforms have been made for this people because of (dia) your foresight.
24: 16Therefore I do my best during (dia) all (the time) to have a clear conscience toward God and all people.
24: 17During (dia) some years [after] I came to bring alms to my nation and to offer sacrifices.
27: 4Putting out to sea from there, we sailed under the lee of Cyprus, because of (dia) the winds being against us.
27: 9Since much time had been lost and sailing was now dangerous, because even the Fast had already gone by (dia), Paul advised them,
28: 2The natives showed us unusual kindness. Because of (dia) the rain and because of (dia) the cold, they kindled a fire and welcomed all of us around it.
28: 18When they had examined me, the Romans wanted to release me, because (dia) there was no reason for the death penalty in my case.
28: 20Because (dia) of this reason I have asked to see you and speak with you, since it is for the sake of the hope of Israel that I am bound with this chain."
28: 25So they disagreed with each other; and as they were leaving, Paul made one further statement: "The Holy Spirit was right in saying to your ancestors through (dia) the prophet Isaiah,

2: 12I am writing to you, little children, for your sins are forgiven through (dia) his name.
3: 1See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God; and that is what we are. Because of (dia) this the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
4: 5They are from the world; because of (dia) this what they say is from the world, and the world listens to them.
4: 9God's love was revealed among us in this way: God sent his only Son into the world so that we might live through (dia) him.
5: 6This is the one who came by (dia) water and blood, Jesus Christ, not with the water only but with the water and the blood. And the Spirit is the one that testifies, for the Spirit is the truth.

2 John

1: 2because of (dia) the truth that abides in us and will be with us forever:
1: 12Although I have much to write to you, I do not want to do it through (dia) paper and ink; instead I hope to come to you and talk with you face to face, so that our joy may be complete.

3 John

1: 10Because of (dia) this, if I come, I will call attention to what he is doing in spreading false charges against us. And not content with those charges, he refuses to welcome the friends, and even prevents those who want to do so and expels them from the church.
1: 13I have much to write to you, but I would rather not write through (dia) pen and ink;
