Verb diasōzō (to preserve, to heal) in the Gospels-Acts

(Translation from NRSV with a few modifications for a more literal meaning)


Matthew

14: 36and begged him that they might touch even the fringe of his cloak; and all who touched it were healed (diasōzō).

Luke

7: 3When he heard about Jesus, he sent some Jewish elders to him, asking him to come and heal (diasōzō) his slave.

Acts

23: 24Also provide mounts for Paul to ride, and to preserve (diasōzō) him for Felix the governor."
27: 43but the centurion, wishing to preserve (diasōzō) Paul, kept them from carrying out their plan. He ordered those who could swim to jump overboard first and make for the land,
27: 44and the rest to follow, some on planks and others on pieces of the ship. And so it was that all were preserved (diasōzō) onto the land.
28: 1After we had been preserved (diasōzō), we then learned that the island was called Malta.
