Verb empaizō (to mock) in the Gospels-Acts

Matthew

2: 16When Herod saw that he had been mocked (empaizō) by the wise men, he was infuriated, and he sent and killed all the children in and around Bethlehem who were two years old or under, according to the time that he had learned from the wise men.
20: 19then they will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked (empaizō) and flogged and crucified; and on the third day he will be raised."
27: 29and after twisting some thorns into a crown, they put it on his head. They put a reed in his right hand and knelt before him and mocked (empaizō) him, saying, "Hail, King of the Jews!"
27: 31After mocking (empaizō) him, they stripped him of the robe and put his own clothes on him. Then they led him away to crucify him.
