Verb epechō (to hold fast) in the Gospels-Acts

Luke

14: 7When he noticed how the guests chose the places of honor, he told them a parable, holding fast (epechō) [his attention] on how they were choosing out the first places saying to them

Acts

3: 5And he held fast (epechō) [his attention] on them, expecting to receive something from them.
19: 22So he sent two of his helpers, Timothy and Erastus, to Macedonia, while he himself held fast (epechō) for some time longer in Asia.
