Noun hilasmos (atoning sacrifice) in the Gospels-Acts

1 John

2: 2and he is the atoning sacrifice (hilasmos) for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.
4: 10In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice (hilasmos) for our sins.
