Matthew

5: 3"Blessed (makarios) are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
5: 4"Blessed (makarios) are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
5: 5"Blessed (makarios) are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
5: 6"Blessed (makarios) are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
