| 22: 3 | "I am a Jew, born in Tarsus in Cilicia, but brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, educated strictly according to our ancestral (patrōos) law, being zealous for God, just as all of you are today. |
| 24: 14 | But this I admit to you, that according to the Way, which they call a sect, I worship the ancestral (patrōos) God, believing everything laid down according to the law or written in the prophets. |
