Verb peinaō (to be hungry, to hunger) in the Gospels-Acts

(Translation from NRSV with a few modifications for a more literal meaning)

Matthew

4: 2He fasted forty days and forty nights, and afterwards he was hungry (peinaō).
5: 6"Blessed are those who hunger (peinaō) and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
12: 1At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the sabbath; his disciples were hungry (peinaō), and they began to pluck heads of grain and to eat.
12: 3He said to them, "Have you not read what David did when he and his companions were hungry (peinaō)?
21: 18In the morning, when he returned to the city, he was hungry (peinaō).
25: 35for I was hungry (peinaō) and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me,

Mark

Luke

1: 53he has filled those being hungry (peinaō) with good things, and sent the rich away empty.
