Verb proseuchomai (to pray) in the New Testament

(Translation from NRSV with a few modifications for a more literal meaning)


Legend:
Red color: proseuchomai when it is related to disciples or Christians

Matthew

5: 44But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray (proseuchomai) for those who persecute you,
6: 5"And whenever you pray (proseuchomai), do not be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray (proseuchomai) in the synagogues and at the street corners, so that they may be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward.
6: 6But whenever you pray (proseuchomai), go into your room and shut the door and pray (proseuchomai) to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
6: 7"When you are praying (proseuchomai), do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard because of their many words.
6: 9"Pray (proseuchomai) then in this way: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.
14: 23And after he had dismissed the crowds, he went up the mountain by himself to pray (proseuchomai). When evening came, he was there alone,
19: 13Then little children were being brought to him in order that he might lay his hands on them and pray (proseuchomai). The disciples spoke sternly to those who brought them;

Mark

Ephesians
