Verb therizō (to reap) in the Gospels-Acts
(Translation from NRSV with a few modifications for a more literal meaning)
Matthew
| 6: 26 | Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap (therizō) nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? |
| 25: 24 | Then the one who had received the one talent also came forward, saying, 'Master, I knew that you were a harsh man, reaping (therizō) where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter seed; |
| 25: 26 | But his master replied, 'You wicked and lazy slave! You knew, did you, that I reap (therizō) where I did not sow, and gather where I did not scatter? |
Luke
| 12: 24 | Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap (therizō), they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds! |
| 19: 21 | for I was afraid of you, because you are a harsh man; you take what you did not deposit, and reap (therizō) what you did not sow.' |
