Verb zēteō (to search, to seek) in the Gospels-Acts

Matthew

2: 13Now after they had left, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, "Get up, take the child and his mother, and flee to Egypt, and remain there until I tell you; for Herod is about to search (zēteō) for the child, to destroy him."
2: 20"Get up, take the child and his mother, and go to the land of Israel, for those who were seeking (zēteō) the child's life are dead."
6: 33But seek (zēteō) first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
7: 7"Ask, and it will be given you; search (zēteō), and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you.
7: 8For everyone who asks receives, and everyone who searches (zēteō) finds, and for everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.
12: 43"When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it wanders through waterless regions searching (zēteō) for a resting place, but it finds none.

Luke

2: 48When his parents saw him they were astonished; and his mother said to him, "Child, why have you treated us like this? Look, your father and I have been searching (zēteō) for you in great anxiety."

John

1: 38When Jesus turned and saw them following, he said to them, "What are you searching (zēteō) for?" They said to him, "Rabbi" (which translated means Teacher), "where are you staying?"
4: 23But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks (zēteō) such as these to worship him.
4: 27Just then his disciples came. They were astonished that he was speaking with a woman, but no one said, "What are you searching (zēteō) for?" or, "Why are you speaking with her?"
5: 18For this reason the Jews were seeking (zēteō) all the more to kill him, because he was not only breaking the sabbath, but was also calling God his own Father, thereby making himself equal to God.
5: 30"I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge; and my judgment is just, because I seek (zēteō) to do not my own will but the will of him who sent me.
5: 44How can you believe when you accept glory from one another and do not seek (zēteō) the glory that comes from the one who alone is God?

Acts
